The Dordogn (also known as the Périgord) region of southwest France lies just east of Bordeaux and is a Mecca for lovers of fine food and wine. We like to call it the land of "Duck, Duck, Goose" because many of the traditional dishes incorportae pountry including duck confit and foie gras. This area is also known for walnuts and strawberries, as well as the creamiest goat cheese ever produced. In this class you'll learn about the food culture of the Dordogne and sample wines from many areas of France. You'll enjoy six expertly paired courses served on Keli's extensive collection of Italian and French dinnerware. 


Keli will prepare some of the gastronomic delights of this region using the finest ingredients found locally. Marilee (owner of Iola Wines is a Sommelier and French Wine Master) will be on hand to guide you through the tasting of each wine, share stories about the winemakers, and divulge secrets for food and wine pairing.

Each student will receive an autographed copy of Keli's cookbook "Cooking with Poggi Bonsi - Traveling Through Food" (a $30 value), plus supplemental recipes and a suprise gift from France.

Smoked Salmon Rillets with Baguette Slices
Foie Gras on Oat Biscuit
Goat Cheese with Cherry Shallot Confiture
Frisée with Lardon and Walnuts
Red Wine and Pear Sorbet
Cassoulet with homemade Duck Confit, Garlic Sausage, Pork, and Flageolet Beans
Walnut Tart with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
