Join Keli and her son Nick
at Villa Marciano for a delicious week of food,
wine and friendship in the
Chianti hills of Tuscany.
September 17-24, 2016
A Few Trip highlights:
We’ll taste the delights of Tuscan cuisine with our private chef and at traditional trattorias and osterias as we tour the countryside in our private mini-bus.
We will enjoy a cooking class at a winery in Castellina in Chianti.
On September 19, the 15th anniversary of Poggi Bonsi, we’ve planned a special day of celebration which will pay homage to the town of Poggibonsi and our enduring business.
One of our excursions will be a visit with our friends Roberto and Maria Grazia Droandi at their vineyard and olive farm, Campolucci, in eastern Chianti, where they will host a private luncheon featuring their Manucci Droandi wines.
One morning we will travel to Montalcino, home of exquisite wines including Brunello di Montalcino, for a tasting at Enotteca di Piazza with our friends Linda and Nicola Fedolfi. Also that day we will explore Pienza, the capital of Pecorino cheese, to taste the many varieties of its famous “formaggio” and have lunch an osteria.
Each morning Nick will teach Italian pronunciation and simple phrases to help us communicate with our new friends.
Keep checking our itinerary because many other delights await us on this Tuscan adventure!

Since Poggi Bonsi was founded in 2001, I have had a little dream to take group to Tuscany and share began as a little dream after my family and I traveled to Tuscany in the summer of 2000. My sons Nick and Vince were 8 and 7 at the time and I wanted to give them the opportunity to connect with their heritage. We toured the countryside visiting my husband Mark’s relatives and got lost every day. We kept passing signs for Poggibonsi and, when we learned how to pronounce it properly (POH-jee-BOHN-zee), we found it really fun to say…”musicale” in Italian. A year later my gourmet kitchen store Poggi Bonsi was born.
I’m delighted to be able to offer this wonderful trip to our customers and over-the-moon excited that I get to have Nick involved as well.
