Oven-Dried Figs with Barolo wine are an heaven in a jar! Sweet whole figs are marinated in Barolo, the "king of Italian wines" to create a delicious garnish or side dish for meat or cheese--especially good with Gorgonzola or other blue cheeses. Combine with sliced pear, proscuitto and melted Gorgonzola cheese for a sweet/savory crostini topping. Barolo is made from Nebbiolo grapes, which are rich and full-bodied, full of hearty fruit flavors and darker overtones like chocolate and licorice. Imported from Italy by Ritrovo Italian Regional Foods.
