Epiphany Celebration in Italy

Italy’s traditional Epiphany celebration includes the tale of a white-haired witch known as “La Befana” who arrives on her broomstick during the night of January 5 and fills the stockings with toys and sweets for the good children and lumps of coal for the bad ones.

French Pottery Garlic Grater Plates Video

Cheery and functional, these French ceramic garlic plates are hand painted, in Vallauris, France, a small village perched high above the French Riviera–a region with a rich history in French pottery production.

These 4″ plates are hand painted and add French style to any table. Simply grate the garlic clove on the ceramic grater section to puree the garlic, add a little extra virgin olive oil and perhaps some balsamic vinegar or herbs…dip some artisan European bread and enjoy! Gifts of these inexpensive and traditional spots of Provencal color are a well received alone or accompanied by bottle of artisan olive oil.

These lovely French pottery garlic plates, as well as a variety of Italian ceramics, European linens, kitchen items and gifts are available at www.poggibonsigifts.com,

Check out this video about our French pottery garlic plates made by Carol Carini of  Billabong Studios in Bellevue, Washington.
