Our “Frutta Nero” Italian ceramic collection is exclusive to Poggi Bonsi and one of our most popular. We’ve added a black background to lush Italian fruit giving a modern feel to a classic theme. The colors of the fruit are rich with vivid contrast and the design is suited to both traditional and modern decor. This striking pattern adds an elegant touch of Italian color to kitchens with black countertops. A beautiful example of Deruta Majolica, “Frutta Nero” is painted especially for us by our friends in Deruta, Italy.

Our Italian friends correct the name of this collection to “Frutta Nera” because, in the Italian language, color names should match the gender of the noun. We persist in using “Nero” as it is a more familiar name for “black” to English-speaking folks.
