A Touch of Tuscany in Italian Ceramics
May 14th, 2008
Our Toscana Italian Ceramic Collection is among our most popular and features the lush fruits and vivid colors of the region. The lemon (limone), grape (uva) motifs are extremely popular in Italian ceramics from all regions and especially in Tuscany. The pieces in this Majolica collection are hand painted by a small family studio in Montelupo Fiorentino, Tuscany and are food-safe.
The collection includes blue grapes, purple grapes, lemons with a blue background, lemons with a Siena-red background and “Galetti” the Gallo Nero (black rooster) of the Chianti Classico region in central Tuscany. All of the pieces are meant to be mixed and matched and look beautiful together. Our selection includes Italian ceramic biscotti jars, canisters, salt jars, bowls, mugs, wine corks, utensil jars and platters of all shapes and sizes. Visit our website www.poggibonsigifts.com to see our entire Italian ceramic selection. To learn more about Montelupo Fiorentino, read our blog story on Tuscan pottery.
